Extensive experience in learning disability care

With over 32 years experience in the social work sphere working in middle and senior management, Elaine brings a wealth of experience, having worked with children and young people with disabilities and their families across statutory and integrated Children’s Services. Her practice is deeply rooted in a strengths-based, child-centred approach, promoting safety, inclusion, and positive outcomes. She has expertly supported children with a wide range of physical, learning, sensory, and neurodevelopmental disabilities, including those with complex health needs and associated safeguarding concerns.

Extensive experience in disability care

Elaine brings a wealth of experience, having worked with children and young people with disabilities and their families across statutory and integrated Children’s Services. Her practice is deeply rooted in a strengths-based, child-centred approach, promoting safety, inclusion, and positive outcomes. She has expertly supported children with a wide range of physical, learning, sensory, and neurodevelopmental disabilities, including those with complex health needs, children in care and safeguarding concerns.

Highly experienced in supervising and supporting practitioners, Elaine provides reflective supervision, professional guidance, and quality assurance. She ensures all interventions are timely, lawful, and proportionate. Elaine has successfully led children with disabilities multi-disciplinary teams, fostering close collaborations with health, education, and voluntary sector partners to coordinate truly integrated support. This includes crucial provisions like education, health interventions, short breaks, and seamless transition planning into adulthood.
