Extensive experience in learning disability care
With over 32 years experience in the social work sphere working in middle and senior management, Elaine brings a wealth of experience, having worked with children and young people with disabilities and their families across statutory and integrated Children’s Services. Her practice is deeply rooted in a strengths-based, child-centred approach, promoting safety, inclusion, and positive outcomes. She has expertly supported children with a wide range of physical, learning, sensory, and neurodevelopmental disabilities, including those with complex health needs and associated safeguarding concerns.

Elaine brings a wealth of experience, having worked with children and young people with disabilities and their families across statutory and integrated Children’s Services. Elaine has successfully led children with disabilities multi-disciplinary teams, fostering close collaborations with health, education, and voluntary sector partners to coordinate truly integrated support. This includes crucial provisions like education, health interventions, short breaks, and seamless transition planning into adulthood.
